Navigating Reality: Discovering Your Intuitive and Analytical Systems
Share
At every moment, we interpret our reality through our own lens. Our senses gather information, which we then organize to make sense for us.
This process is guided by two systems in our brain that work together and balance each other:
System 1: Our intuitive, gut-feeling system. It operates quickly, relying on the information and experiences we already have. We use our expectations and beliefs to interpret the reality we perceive.
System 2: "The Analyst." This system is more deliberate and analytical. It takes a slower approach, gathering and combining pieces of information to form a complete picture.
We all use both systems to interpret reality, though sometimes one may dominate over the other. Which system do you find characterizes you more?
